Moo Moo

Justin surprised me with a, thank you for incubating baby Staublin, present on Mother's Day.  On Thursday, I will be spending some quality R&R at the spa.  Oh the sweet joys of incubating and a husband that relentlessly spoils!

Pregnancy is going smoothly.  The biggest ache is the question of childcare after my maternity leave.  Also, deciding if now is the time to start Grad School.  True to my Chabot origins, I don't do things in small steps (in spite of an obsessive need to plan and set goals) change is done in a fast, rip it off like a band aid fashion.  Obviouisly, pros and cons to all options.

I think I need to make a list.

I've definitely "popped" and can't fight with with my current pants anymore.  So, after I'm done here I'm going to order some maternity pants. Here's to the plethora of maternity fashions these days.  I'm glad the moo moo is no longer a staple.

Next doctor's appointment is May 18th.

  2. Congrats to you two. This blog is a great idea. Especially for us wondering minds who love to hear and see all the details. Ha! I agree it most likely will be a tow head. See you are having a midwife, that is interesting. I think I would have like to have done something like that also. I had all four of the kids natural no problems and thankful for that. Of course I didn't have alot of choices way back then.Ha! Take care and give Justin a congrats hug from Uncle Toad and Me.

  3. Ok ... I used to wear moo-moos until I went to Brazil, where woman were proud of their pregnant bellies! So be proud and loud! Pregnancy is so amazing and actually quite powerful in many ways. You are a true Slovak woman in your ability to embrace your body and not whine ... yeah!!!
